CORINTHIA HOTEL LISBON’S TEMPUS LOUNGE BAR AWARDED BEST HOTEL BAR AT LISBON BAR SHOW EVENT

The Tempus Lounge Bar at Corinthia Hotel Lisbon has been awarded ‘Best Hotel Bar’ at the Lisbon Bar Show 2016, for the second year running. The Lisbon Bar Show was held on 17-18 May in Lisbon, Portugal.

For the second consecutive year, the high quality and service of the Tempus Lounge Bar at Corinthia Lisbon has been recognised at the Lisbon Bar Show event. The Tempus Lounge Bar was amongst the final shortlist of four nominees from Portugal, and was recognised as the country’s ‘Best Hotel Bar’.

The annual Lisbon Bar Show, now in its third year, celebrates the drinks industry and recognises the crème de la crème of Portugal’s Bar scene. The event gathers the top international bartenders to debate the latest trends in the world of mixology, as well as presenting cutting edge innovations, techniques, and tools used to produce and to serve leading cocktails.

The recently renovated Tempus Lounge Bar offers a warm residential experience, where guests can enjoy an intimate atmosphere of privacy and comfort. The walls are decorated with canvases created by Susana Bravo, a local contemporary artist and an extraordinary storyteller of the Portuguese lifestyle.  To complement the experience live piano music is played during the evenings.

The hotel has also recently revamped its drinks menu. Created by award-winning Bar Manager Nélson Antunes, the menu comprises an extensive range of drinks: from the much-loved classic cocktails using renowned spirits, malts, and Champagnes, to innovative concoctions, available exclusively at Corinthia Lisbon, incorporating the finest local flavours. A food menu, offering a range of light meals and small dishes of Portuguese specialties, is also available.
