The grande dame Corinthia Hotel Budapest, located in the heart of the city, was named the six-star winner of ‘Best Meeting Hotel or Venue’ at BI Worldwide’s 2016 Partners in Success event on 25 February 2016. The award recognises Corinthia Budapest’s outstanding meetings spaces, facilities and service. The award was received by Janet Broomfield, Group Director Sales for Meetings and Events at Corinthia Hotels.

Corinthia Budapest boasts the largest conference facilities within Hungary’s five-star hotels, including the 740 square metre Valletta Conference Centre, a showpiece of 21st-century architecture which can be partitioned to create up to 19 syndicate rooms. In total, the hotel features 31 meeting rooms, and the main meeting room can seat 500 people theatre-style. Event organisers at Corinthia Budapest are further helped the hotel’s online Virtual Planner, which uses advanced animation technology to project a 3D sense of the event space in a variety of set-ups.

Located in the heart of Budapest and only 18 km from Budapest airport, Corinthia Budapest recently launched its Royal Lounge, Hungary’s first lounge dedicated to organisers of MICE events. The hotel also offers a state-of-the-art Executive Lounge and business centre, all equipped with ‘backwards compatible’ and ‘future proof’ technologies, crucial in an ever-changing technological landscape.

This year saw the 30th anniversary of BI Worldwide’s ‘Partners in Success’ programme, during which 75 business partners attended a variety of working sessions at their Newport Pagnell offices followed by cocktails, dinner and an awards ceremony at the Aston Martin Works. There were 11 categories recognising achievements from airlines, hotels and destination management companies alike.
