Palazzo Leone Celebrates Care, Community and Connection at Family Get-Together.

On Friday, 10th July, Palazzo Leone, CPHCL Group’s elderly care residence, welcomed residents’ families, management and team members for a special evening celebrating care, community and connection, and the Group’s steadfast commitment to providing residents with an exceptional living experience.

The evening opened with a presentation by Mrs Sonia Stewart, General Manager, who highlighted recently completed improvements to enhance residents’ quality of life. These include new air-conditioning throughout the residence, accessible bathrooms, digital resident records, a refurbished lounge and cinema room, ongoing staff training and development initiatives, and further measures to improve resident wellbeing.

Mrs Stewart highlighted the current refurbishment projects which include revitalised courtyards, a new stretcher lift, a walk-in fridge and freezer, a sample twin room with ensuite facilities, and other planned developments. All works are being carried out with the highest regard for residents’ wellbeing, comfort and safety. She concluded by reaffirming Palazzo Leone’s core priorities of dignity, safety, wellbeing, meaningful activities, quality care and family involvement.

Mr Jean-Pierre Schembri, Group CEO, welcomed residents and their families, reiterating the Group’s unwavering commitment to providing premium long-term living that combines comfort, hospitality and expert care. He emphasised the importance of creating refined living spaces and exceptional amenities within a safe, secure and welcoming environment.

Looking ahead, the Group has identified several projects to further enhance the residence. These include additional parking facilities, an increase in resident capacity, and a new accommodation floor sensitively set behind the residence’s historic façades, which will be fully preserved. Together with a new reception area and refurbished dining and communal spaces, the works will allow Palazzo Leone to welcome more residents while enhancing comfort for everyone who calls the residence their own.

The event also highlighted the strength of close collaboration across the Group, with various teams working together to create a memorable evening for residents, relatives and colleagues alike. The expansion plans are being delivered by the Palace Residences team, while the Palace Landscaping & Palace Garden Centre team was entrusted with transforming the courtyards into beautiful, accessible spaces where residents can relax and enjoy peaceful moments in the shade. One of the Group’s catering arms provided delicious refreshments, RQT, the Group’s staffing and outsourcing agency, supported the event with professional bar and waiting services, and the Swan Laundry team played an important role in helping to organise and deliver a successful event.

The evening was a meaningful reflection of the Group’s shared commitment to creating a caring, vibrant and supportive community. Residents, families and team members were brought together in a warm and joyful atmosphere, and it is hoped that this memorable occasion will be followed by many more in the years ahead.
